Eligibility

Honorary Fellow:

Any person who have done outstanding contribution to the Chemical Science and related field in any profession as Teaching, Research, Regulatory, Analysis and/or industry. Any individual who has made eminent contribution to the cause of chemistry may be proposed and elected as an Honorary Fellow. Such an Honorary Fellow shall not vote or to be voted for and shall not pay dues.

Life Membership:

Any person, other than Patron and Honorary Member, who has a Doctoral/Post Graduate degree in Chemical Sciences/Chemistry Allied Sciences conferred by a recognized University and having a minimum of 10-year experience in the Chemistry Profession, be it Teaching, Research, Regulatory, Analysis and/or industry, shall be eligible to be a Life Member of the Asian Chemical Society (AChemS). The CEC has the discretion to reject any application without ascribing any reasons.
The term of membership extends up to 20 years from the date of joining.

Associate Membership:

Any person, other than Patron and Honorary Member, who has a Bachelor's or higher degree in Chemical Science / Chemistry Allied Sciences conferred by a recognized University and having a minimum of 5-year experience in the Chemistry Profession, be it Teaching, Research, Regulatory, Analysis and/or Industry, shall be eligible to be an Associate Membership of the Asian Chemical Society (AChemS). The CEC has the discretion to reject any application without ascribing any reasons.
The term of membership extends up to 5 years from the date of joining.

Affiliated Membership:

Any person, other than Patron and Honorary Member, who has a Bachelor's or higher degree conferred by a recognized University and having a minimum of 5-year experience, be it Teaching, Research, Regulatory, Analysis and/or Industry, shall be eligible to be an Affiliated Membership of the Asian Chemical Society (AChemS). The CEC has the discretion to reject any application without ascribing any reasons.
The term of membership extends up to 5 years from the date of joining.

Student Membership:

Any person, who is a student in Bachelor's or higher degree in Basic and / or applied Sciences conferred by a recognized University, shall be eligible to be a Student Membership of the Asian Chemical Society (AChemS). The CEC has the discretion to reject any application without ascribing any reasons.
The term of membership extends up to 2 years from the date of joining.

Fellowship (Fellow of Asian Chemical Society - FAChemS):

A Fellow shall be a person who in addition to satisfying the conditions for membership must:

Have distinguished him/herself in the teaching, research and application of chemistry
Have had at least 10 years professional experience in his/her field after satisfying the minimum condition for Membership
Have reached a position of seniority, experience and authority in his/her career
